Hello, my name is Nikki– the main creator behind Island Girl Creative!
The name "Island Girl Creative" is an homage to my childhood home on the tiny island of St.John in the US Virgin Islands. While I currently live in Orlando Florida, I grew up on St.John for over 15 years. My parents still live there, so I visit as often as I can!
I have always been an art and nature lover – I practically had no choice with two painters for parents and over 7 years of environmental camps! However, I have always struggled to identify as an artist. That is, until I discovered what it meant to be a designer.
I studied design at the University of Central Florida (UCF) where I attended the art and business/communications colleges to get degrees in Emerging Media Graphic Design and Management.
Long story short, I now know how to make art with PURPOSE.
(I also know a ton about pixels, perspective, and printing...)
I am passionate about flipping your problem on its head, and working my butt off to find the right creative solution to bring your vision to life!
